Londonworks originally started its journey in 2002 in north London as Social store. It carried an eclectic selection of clothing and home products, from Japanese cult t-shirt brands and toys to the American vintage clothing and round space-age TV's. We also supported our up and coming local fashion designers, staged a few rock gigs on our shop floor, launched many events and organised countless art shows including some early Obey Giant/Shepard Fairey, Terratag and Pure Evil exhibitions. For 15 years it was home to the most exciting and current brands from across the world. A mix of independent, limited editions, home-made, high-end streetwear, one of a kind vintage, new designer's collections + accessories, designer-led and home gifts, mid-century Danish furniture, it has shaped the way north-west Londoners shop.
However, we came to the end of our long-term lease and had decided to close our store in West Hampstead. We had been looking to move to a new location for a while before we found a perfect spot in summer of 2018 in Camden Town, right opposite Stables Market and half way between Lock Tavern and Hawley Arms, two of our favourite pubs in London.
It was essential for us to remain with our roots in north-west London, so Camden was an obvious choice. The move allowed us to house our products in a new way and find a room for a different variety of fashion, footwear and accessories brands, so it reflects the creative and vibrant area of London where the store is now based.
We changed the store name, and have now turned it into a full-on lifestyle project including a photography studio, a fashion agency, a coffee bar, an events space and our concept store. We are also collaborating and organising various events with SayMore PR agency in the same building, meaning we have everything you need under one roof.
Going forward, Londonworks store will continuously evolve in terms of interior design, and product range.
We promote and share news about fashion, street style, music, art and photography.
